and I realize that I am legally bound by this document if I do not fulfill my part of this document.
- PERSONAL
EQUIPMENT- All students must have steel tip boots, coveralls with reflective
stripes, yellow hard hat, diving gloves, diving knife, 10in and 12in crescent wrench, log book.
- CREDENTIALS- Upon successful completion of the course i.e passing both theory and practical
exams the student will receive a certificate from UWIL and certification .
- SCHOOL RESPONSIBILITY-
The school agrees to make available to the applicant classroom space, all diving supplies and equipment, diving station space,
diving manuals, diving logs, handouts, re-compression chamber training and instruction in the above course as outlined in
the program designated for the period indicated. The school agrees to award the appropriate diploma, card, and to provide
assistance in locating employment after the student meets all the requirements for the course completion. The school reserves
the right to schedule subjects within the curriculum in the order deemed necessary and if necessary to change or revise class
dates and international certification. The school does not guarantee job placement
- METHOD AND TERMS OF PAYMENTS - Option 1: full payment is made prior to the first day of class;
Option 2: deferred payment, where deferrable charges are paid in two installments – where half of
the cost is paid up front and the full balance before you write exams. If the
full balance is not paid on the required date students will not be allowed to continue classes nor write the final exams nor
partake in practical exams. No excuse as to non -payment will be accepted. Nor will any further deferred
payment be entertained.
- STUDENT PERFORMANCE: the student agrees to attend classes regularly and abide by the rules and regulations of the School
and to complete all homework and attend ALL internal exams.
- REFUNDS; Cancellation by the school of course prior to starting date will incur a full refund to students that paid prior to
the start. All money will be refunded if the applicant is not accepted by the school before starting classes. If the student drops out at any period during the course for whatever reason no refund
or part refund will be made to the student.
- EXAMS and REFUNDS; If the student fails to write the final exam or part of the exams for whatever reason no
refund or part refund is given and students must pay $1000 Canadian dollars to rewrite
the entire exam when the examiner returns. Failure to pay the sum the student will not be allowed to write the exams. Students
cannot write part of an exam and then opt to write the balance another time. If the student is unable to pay the balance owed
on the course prior to exams, the student can opt to write the exam on the next sitting and must pay the sum to be able to
write the exam.
- ABSENTEEISM;students
who are absent for more than two consecutive weeks of classes, will be automatically withdrawn from the program, unless prior
arrangements and agreement in writing have been made with the director and from the director. Students who miss more than
four classes in any month will be asked to make up missed classes at $1000 TT per missed class,
the cost is to be paid before attending other classes, if student do not pay then they will be considered automatically
withdrawn from the course and will not be refunded either totally or partially.
Essential classes must not be missed –essential classes are classes that consist of practical diving whether in confined area
or deep water training areas, essential classes also consist of review theory sessions, these are conducted
by foreign examiners who will also be conducting exams for the final 2 weeks of the course, these are 2 weeks full time training
and students must make all arrangements to attend these full time review and exams, students missing any
one of these essential sessions will not be allowed to continue the course nor be certified and no refund or
part refund will be entertained.
- EXAM FAILURE for students who fail
the exam and wish to rewrite the exam at the next sitting has an option to return to classes or rewrite the exam on the date
to be announced at a cost of $1000 Canadian, which is to be paid before attending the classes or exams If
students opt for the exam only, payment MUST be paid one month before the first exam date.
