GENERAL INFORMATION
UNDERWATER WORKS INC. LTD ( UWIL ) head office is situated in Chaguanas Trinidad
WI. The main office is situated in Trinidad and is responsible for diver training, both recreational and commercial.
ENROLLMENT
PRIOR
to enrollment : All students are required to
1. Sign ALL legal documents which can be found on
the web site or in this document
2. Have completed a fit to dive medical from a doctor recognised by
the school.
3. Have all relevant personal equipment as outlined on legal document
DIVING COURSE PREREQUISITE
All Students MUST be: *1 OPEN WATER SCUBA CERTIFIED
*2 ADVANCE OPEN WATER CERTIFIED
*These courses are taught at UWIL and students wishing to enroll and do not have these certifications should contact
the director for info on being certified or see the relevant area on the web page. Students who are certified with other instructors
outside UWIL may have to undergo a review of the diving skills and may be required to redo the entire area or partial skills.
COMMERCIAL DIVER CERTIFICATION
Divers who have
completed the required number of dives at the required depth and who are also able to demonstrate the required skills and
knowledge following the Standards will be certified. Trinidad and Tobago will be launching the new commercial
diving standards. We at UWIL are presently offering a number of commercial diver training courses following the Standards
( we will soon have our own revised standard). On successful completion of the theory exams and logging of the required
dive times and depth we will apply for the commercial diver certification cards. To be able to certify at this high standard,
foreign instructors and examiners from recognized schools will be conducting practical assessments and supervising all theory
exams.
Students
are expected to find at UWIL the same intense training that can be found in any school outside the Caribbean.

UWIL 1 UNRESTRICTED SURFACE –SUPPLIED DIVER TRAINING

apply for this course: Student MUST be certified RESTRICTED SURFACE SUPPLIED
DIVER .
Theory Topics : 5 SUBJECTS. 80% pass mark on the following-
1.
Salvage
2. Gas and Oilfield diving
3. Forming, Concrete, jetting, dredging and explosives
4.Cutting,Welding, Pipelines
and Flanges
5.Chamber Operations and Dive gear.
EXAM: Students must pass all 5 exams in one sitting
to be certified.

UWIL2 RESTRICTED SURFACE –SUPPLIED DIVER TRAINING
Maximum Working Depth 30m ( 99 fsw) using surface
supplied system Trainee must have at least 30 surface supplied dives
totaling 20 hrs
Pre-Requisite to apply for this
course: Students must be certified open-water and advance open-water recreational scuba
or assessed by an istructor at UWIL
Theory Topics: 5 exam. 80% pass mark on the following
1.Diving Physics and physiology
2. Rigging
3.Underwater inspection
4.Diving Medicine
5.Law, Ethics, Seamanship and Navigation

UWIL 3 HYPERBARIC CHAMBER OPERATOR ( HCO ) TRAINING
This is a course for non-divers as well as divers it enables
a worker to function safely and competently as a hyperbaric chamber operator, including the recognition and control of the
hazards involved in hyperbaric treatments.
Practical Hyperbaric chamber operationsTheory- 12 – 5 hrs days ( evening
classes ) 2 theory exams. 80% pass mark.1. Diving physics and physiology
2. Decompression tables, emergency management procedures and chamber
operations.
